Environmental Engineering – UOLP

About

The Environmental Engineering – UOLP program is a four-year undergraduate degree taught fully in English. It is designed for students who want to study environmental science and engineering, and learn how to solve environmental problems using modern engineering and scientific approaches. The program covers important topics such as water and wastewater treatment, air and soil pollution, waste management, and sustainable resource use. Students are taught the necessary chemistry, biology, physics, and engineering fundamentals to understand environmental systems and design solutions that protect nature and human health.

Through laboratory work, computer applications, and team projects, students gain practical skills and learn to analyse, design and manage environmental solutions. The program helps them become engineers who can work in different sectors — from industry and public institutions to consulting firms. Because the programme is in English, students from different backgrounds can study together, improving their knowledge and English skills while building a global perspective.

Career Opportunities

Graduates of this program can work in various sectors depending on their interests and skills. They may become environmental engineers in water supply companies, wastewater treatment plants, solid waste management companies, or air quality control agencies. They can also work in public institutions, municipalities, or environmental consulting firms dealing with pollution control, sustainability projects, and environmental impact assessments. Private industry — including manufacturing, energy, and construction firms — often hire environmental engineers to help meet environmental regulations and manage waste or emissions. International companies or global NGOs may also value graduates because of their English-language education and international perspective.

Why Choose This Program

Choosing the Environmental Engineering (English) – UOLP program means you join a university education that mixes science, engineering and environmental care in an international setting. You will learn how to analyse water, air, soil and waste pollution and design real solutions that help protect the planet. With English instruction, you gain global skills and prepare for international jobs or cooperation with foreign teams. The program gives both theoretical knowledge and practical experience through labs and projects — a strong foundation for real-world work.

Also, the program offers flexibility: students who come from 2-year or equivalent institutions can transfer in, and there is support for students who need English preparation — making it accessible. The broad training allows you to work in many sectors: public, private, research, consulting or global organisations. If you care about environment, sustainability and making a positive difference — this program is for you.
