The Master of Arts in African Studies is a two-year, full-time on-campus program exploring the history, cultures, societies, politics, and development of African regions. University of Porto provides students with interdisciplinary perspectives on African communities and global relationships.
Graduates can work in research institutions, international organizations, cultural projects, and development programs. The program supports careers in African studies fields through comprehensive social and cultural analysis.

Graduates of the African Studies Master’s program can work in cultural research, international development, and regional analysis.
