The Master’s Programme in Biology - Environmental Toxicology is a two-year, full-time on-campus program that focuses on the effects of environmental pollutants and toxic substances on living organisms and ecosystems. The program combines biology, chemistry, and environmental science to understand how toxic compounds behave in the environment and impact health and biodiversity. Students study topics such as ecotoxicology, environmental risk assessment, chemical pollutants, molecular toxicology, and environmental monitoring methods.
Graduates develop strong toxicology expertise, environmental risk assessment skills, and biological analysis competence, preparing them for careers in environmental agencies, pharmaceutical and chemical industries, research institutions, and regulatory organizations. Uppsala University offers a strong research-driven environment with advanced laboratories in environmental and biological sciences.
