Dance

About

The Dance program provides an immersive education in movement, choreography, and the cultural contexts of performance. Students explore the art of dance through both practical technique training and academic study, learning to understand the body as a tool for creative expression. The curriculum includes a range of styles such as modern, ballet, jazz, and contemporary, offering a comprehensive foundation in performance and technique. In addition to studio practice, students engage with dance history, theory, and criticism, gaining insight into how dance reflects and shapes society.

The program fosters individual artistic growth through mentorship, performance opportunities, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Students are encouraged to experiment with composition and improvisation while developing their unique voice as dancers and creators. Faculty members—who are experienced performers, scholars, and choreographers—support students in refining their technique and engaging critically with movement. Through concerts, workshops, and research projects, students build a strong portfolio and develop skills in creative process, physical discipline, and expressive storytelling that extend beyond the studio.
