

The Master of Arts in Dance Movement Psychotherapy at the University of Derby is a two-year, full-time on-campus program that combines the creative arts with psychotherapy to explore the therapeutic potential of movement. This program integrates theoretical knowledge of psychotherapy with practical dance and movement techniques, allowing students to develop the skills to work as dance movement psychotherapists.
Students will learn to use movement as a tool for emotional expression and healing, working with individuals in various therapeutic contexts, such as mental health, education, and rehabilitation. Graduates will be equipped to practice as professional dance movement psychotherapists and work with a diverse range of clients to support their mental health and well-being.
