The Master’s Programme in Earth Science - Physical Geography is a two-year, full-time on-campus program that focuses on understanding Earth’s physical systems and environmental processes. The program explores how landscapes, climate systems, and natural environments evolve over time, combining fieldwork, data analysis, and geoscientific modeling. Students study topics such as geomorphology, climate dynamics, hydrology, and environmental change.
Graduates develop strong geoscientific analysis skills, environmental research expertise, and field investigation competence, preparing them for careers in environmental consultancy, climate research, government agencies, and academic institutions. Uppsala University offers a strong research environment with access to field studies and advanced earth system analysis tools.
