The Master of Science in Environmental Geoscience at the University of Southampton provides an interdisciplinary approach to understanding the Earth's processes and their impact on the environment. This four-year, full-time program covers topics such as climate change, geohazards, environmental pollution, and sustainable resource management. Students will develop the skills needed to assess environmental risks and contribute to the development of sustainable solutions.
On-campus learning includes fieldwork, laboratory-based research, and the application of geophysical and geological data to environmental problems. Graduates are prepared for careers in environmental consultancy, environmental policy, and geohazard assessment, where they can apply their expertise to protect natural resources and mitigate environmental risks.

The Environmental Geoscience program provides a comprehensive education in both geosciences and environmental studies, combining theoretical knowledge with practical experience. The MSci qualification offers an advanced level of education, preparing students for both professional careers and further academic research.
