The European Master’s in Animal Biodiversity and Genomics (EMABG) is a two-year, full-time on-campus program that focuses on understanding the genetic diversity and biodiversity of animal species through advanced genomic technologies. The program covers topics such as animal genomics, evolutionary biology, biodiversity conservation, and molecular techniques, with a strong emphasis on research and international collaboration within Europe.
Graduates will be well-prepared for careers in animal genomics, biodiversity research, conservation genetics, and biotechnology. Wageningen University & Research provides access to state-of-the-art research facilities, global networks, and interdisciplinary projects, ensuring students gain a comprehensive understanding of animal biodiversity and genomics to contribute to conservation and sustainable management efforts.
Semester 1 – Introduction to Animal Biodiversity and Genomics
Semester 2 – Advanced Animal Biodiversity and Genomics
Semester 3 – Specialized Animal Biodiversity and Genomics
Semester 4 – Master’s Thesis & Final Project
Graduates of the European Master’s Animal Biodiversity and Genomics (EMABG) program can work in conservation genetics, biotechnology, and wildlife management. With expertise in animal genomics, biodiversity conservation, and genetics, graduates are prepared for roles as conservation biologists, wildlife geneticists, or environmental researchers. This program offers opportunities in environmental organizations, research labs, and wildlife conservation agencies.
The European Master’s Animal Biodiversity and Genomics (EMABG) program provides students with a specialized education in animal biodiversity, genetics, and conservation strategies. Students gain hands-on experience in molecular biology techniques, biodiversity assessments, and conservation efforts. The program’s international focus ensures that graduates are well-prepared to work on global conservation initiatives. Graduates are ready to address the challenges of biodiversity loss and contribute to sustainable wildlife management practices.
