About

The Bachelor of Science in Food Engineering (English) at Ege University is a four-year undergraduate program taught entirely in English and designed to train competent food engineers with solid grounding in engineering sciences, food technology, processing and quality control. Students receive education in fundamental mathematics, chemistry and biology, along with specialized courses in food chemistry, food microbiology, processing technologies, food safety, quality assurance, and industrial food production techniques. The program combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on laboratory work and industrial-oriented training, preparing graduates to meet national and global demands in the food industry. The full degree spans four years (eight semesters) and leads to a Bachelor of Science degree in Food Engineering.

Located in İzmir at the Bornova campus, this English-medium program benefits from modern laboratories, experienced faculty and a curriculum that aligns with international engineering and food science standards. With a strong emphasis on both scientific fundamentals and applied food engineering practices — including food processing, analysis, safety, and sustainability — students gain the knowledge and skills necessary to work in diverse sectors of the food industry, research, quality control, and production management, both in Turkey and abroad.
