The Master of Arts in Holocaust - History, Experience, Heritage at the University of Southampton offers a deep and sensitive exploration of the history, impact, and cultural heritage of the Holocaust. This one-year, full-time program covers the historical events of the Holocaust, as well as its social, psychological, and cultural effects on survivors, communities, and the broader world. Students will examine the legacy of the Holocaust through historical research, education, and heritage studies.
Delivered on-campus, the program includes visits to Holocaust memorials, museums, and archives, offering students direct engagement with primary sources and historical sites. Graduates are prepared for careers in Holocaust education, heritage management, public history, and research, where they can contribute to the preservation of memory and the promotion of tolerance and understanding.

Graduates of the Master of Arts in Holocaust - History, Experience, Heritage are prepared for careers in research, education, and cultural heritage management. With expertise in Holocaust history, memory, and heritage, graduates can work as historians, museum curators, educational consultants, and heritage preservation specialists. Opportunities exist in academic research institutions, museums, historical societies, cultural organizations, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs), focusing on public education, historical preservation, and memory studies.
This program offers an in-depth exploration of the history, experience, and heritage of the Holocaust, combining academic rigor with real-world applications in memory and heritage preservation. Students will gain a deep understanding of the Holocaust's impact on history, contemporary society, and collective memory.
