Industrial Engineering (English) UOLP (ABD-SIUE)

About

The Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering (English) UOLP (ABD-SIUE) is a dual-degree program offered by Istanbul Technical University and Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE). The program teaches students how to design, analyse and improve systems that include people, machines, materials and information. Students learn topics such as mathematics, statistics, operations research, production systems, quality management, logistics and supply chain planning. They also gain skills in modelling, problem-solving and data-based decision-making, which are important in today’s industries. The curriculum supports both theoretical understanding and practical experience through projects and team work.

Because the program takes place in both Istanbul and the United States, students gain strong international experience and learn different engineering approaches. Studying in two countries helps students understand global business systems and adapt to different working cultures. English instruction improves communication skills and prepares students for international teamwork. Students also complete practical assignments, group projects and internships that help them apply engineering principles to real problems. With two diplomas and experience in two education systems, graduates gain a clear advantage in competitive job markets.
