The Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Law and Human Rights at the University of Southampton focuses on the protection and promotion of human rights within the framework of international law. This one-year, full-time program combines theoretical knowledge with practical experience, enabling students to gain a comprehensive understanding of international human rights law, humanitarian law, and the mechanisms for enforcing human rights globally. Graduates can work with international organizations such as the United Nations, governmental agencies, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), law firms, or in academia, addressing critical global human rights issues, advocating for social justice, and providing legal expertise on matters such as refugee rights, international crimes, and humanitarian law.
