Palaeontology and Evolution

About

The Palaeontology and Evolution program at the University of Bristol is a three-year Bachelor of Science (BSc) that explores the history of life on Earth through the study of fossils and evolutionary biology. Students will gain an understanding of the processes that have shaped the diversity of life, studying key topics such as fossilization, evolutionary theory, and the geology of ancient ecosystems.

The University of Bristol offers students access to one of the world’s leading palaeontology departments, with opportunities to engage in fieldwork, research projects, and fossil analysis. Graduates will be well-prepared for careers in museums, academic research, environmental consultancy, or conservation, where they can apply their knowledge to understand Earth's biodiversity and its evolution.
