Portuguese program provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the Portuguese language, literature, and cultural contexts across Portugal, Brazil, and other Lusophone regions. Over four years, students develop advanced skills in speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension while exploring literature, history, and social dynamics of Portuguese-speaking countries. The curriculum integrates language acquisition with cultural studies, enabling students to analyze texts, understand cultural practices, and engage critically with societal issues. Students also participate in research and applied projects that enhance both linguistic proficiency and intercultural competence.
Students engage in immersive language activities, literary analysis, research projects, and cultural programs, gaining practical experience in translation, interpretation, and communication. The program emphasizes language mastery, critical thinking, and applied cultural knowledge, preparing graduates for careers where bilingual skills and cross-cultural understanding are essential.
