The Psychology (UOLP) program is a four-year dual-degree undergraduate course offered jointly by International University of Sarajevo and Marmara University. In the first half of the program, students study in Sarajevo, gaining foundational knowledge in psychological theories, human behaviour, cognition, and research methods in an international environment. During the second half, they continue at Marmara University in Istanbul, deepening their understanding, acquiring advanced skills in psychological assessment and analysis, and experiencing a different cultural and academic context.
This dual-campus structure gives students a unique opportunity to develop a broad, global perspective on psychology. While building a strong theoretical base, students also learn to apply methods in different settings and adapt to diverse social environments. With instruction entirely in English, the program supports international standards and prepares students for diversified careers or postgraduate studies in psychology, mental health, research, or global social contexts.

They may work as psychological counselors, clinical assistants (with further training), social researchers, or staff in NGOs, community health, education, or international organizations. The international and bilingual nature of the program provides an advantage for roles in multicultural settings and global institutions. For those interested in academia, the program offers a solid foundation for postgraduate studies in psychology, neuroscience, social sciences, or related fields — enabling both professional and academic career paths.
Choosing this dual-degree Psychology (English, UOLP) program means getting a truly global psychology education — starting in Sarajevo and finishing in Istanbul. You build strong foundations in psychological science while also experiencing different academic cultures and social environments. Instruction entirely in English helps you become comfortable with international research, communication, and collaboration.
This program also offers a balance between theory, research methods, applied psychology, and practical training. With courses ranging from cognitive psychology to clinical and social psychology, and with opportunities for elective specialization and field practice, graduates gain versatile skills valued by employers and institutions worldwide. If you want a psychology education that opens doors in many countries and fields — research, therapy, education, social work or business — this program is a great choice.
