

The Social Sciences (German-Turkish Master's Programme in Social Sciences) is an international graduate program jointly offered by Middle East Technical University (METU) in Ankara, Turkey, and Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany. Designed for students interested in the political, social, cultural, and economic relations between Germany and Turkey, this full-time program provides rigorous academic training combined with practical insights into European institutions, governance, and integration processes. The program spans four semesters and admits students exclusively in the winter semester.
Students spend the first year at METU in Ankara and the second year at Humboldt University in Berlin, gaining exposure to diverse academic environments, intercultural perspectives, and professional networks. With its dual-degree structure, interdisciplinary focus, and emphasis on research and policy analysis, the GeT MA prepares graduates for careers in diplomacy, international organizations, policy research, and social sciences both in Europe and Turkey.
