

The Research Master’s in The Future of Religious Heritage at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) is a one-year, full-time on-campus program that examines how religious heritage is preserved, interpreted, and transformed in contemporary societies. The program explores the role of religious traditions in shaping cultural identity, public space, and heritage policies, while also addressing the impact of globalization and secularization. Students engage with interdisciplinary perspectives from history, anthropology, theology, and cultural studies to analyze how religious heritage evolves in different social and political contexts.
