History & Foundation

Founded by the Turkish Education Association Higher Education Foundation on July 7, 2009, TED University welcomed its first 320 students in the 2012–2013 academic year. The university initially offered undergraduate programs in social sciences, business administration, and engineering.

Over time, TED University expanded by hiring more faculty members and launching new programs, strengthening its academic structure. Today, it stands as a forward-thinking, internationally oriented institution that places great importance on research, innovation, and quality education.
