The Master of Science in Cancer, Stem Cells and Developmental Biology at Utrecht University is a two-year, full-time on-campus program that focuses on the molecular mechanisms underlying cancer, stem cell biology, and developmental processes. The program explores the interactions between cancer cells, stem cells, and developmental pathways, providing students with a deep understanding of how these biological processes contribute to disease and tissue regeneration.
Students will gain advanced research skills in molecular biology, cell culture, and genetic manipulation techniques, preparing them for careers in biomedical research, clinical applications, or the biotechnology industry. Graduates will be well-prepared to contribute to innovative cancer therapies, stem cell treatments, and advancements in regenerative medicine.
Semester 1 – Foundations in Cancer, Stem Cells, and Developmental Biology
Semester 2 – Advanced Cancer, Stem Cells, and Developmental Biology
Semester 3 – Applied Cancer, Stem Cells, and Developmental Biology
Semester 4 – Master’s Thesis & Final Project
Graduates of the Cancer, Stem Cells and Developmental Biology Master’s program can work in biotechnology, medical research, and pharmaceuticals. With expertise in cellular biology, oncology, and stem cell research, graduates can pursue careers as cancer researchers, stem cell scientists, or biomedical researchers. This program offers opportunities in academic research, biotech firms, and healthcare organizations focused on cancer treatment and regenerative medicine.
