The Chemistry and Ecotoxicology program is a two-year, full-time on-campus program combining chemistry, environmental science, toxicology, and the study of pollutants and their effects on ecosystems. Students develop laboratory and analytical skills for investigating chemical impacts on the environment at Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU).
Graduates can pursue careers in environmental chemistry, ecotoxicology research, environmental monitoring, laboratory analysis, and environmental consulting. The program provides scientific preparation for roles focused on chemical safety and environmental protection.
Semester 1 – Foundations of Chemistry and Ecotoxicology
Semester 2 – Advanced Ecotoxicology
Semester 3 – Applied Chemical Research
Semester 4 – Research and Final Project
Graduates of the Chemistry and Ecotoxicology program can work in environmental science, chemical research, toxicology, and regulatory sectors. With expertise in chemical analysis, pollutants, and ecological impacts, graduates are well-prepared for careers as chemists, ecotoxicologists, environmental researchers, or risk assessment specialists. This program provides opportunities in laboratories, research institutions, environmental agencies, and chemical industries.
The Chemistry and Ecotoxicology program provides students with a comprehensive understanding of chemical interactions and their effects on living systems. Students gain expertise in chemical analysis, environmental assessment, and toxicological methods. The program combines chemistry with environmental science. Graduates are equipped to contribute to safer and more sustainable chemical practices.
