This programme runs over two years, and the sequencing shows where that time goes. The first two semesters build theory and method, from communication theory and the study of media in society through to research design, then on to digital, persuasive, and political communication. The third semester turns applied, covering corporate communication, public relations and corporate branding, media literacy and social change, and a supervised research project. The independent thesis, data analysis, and academic portfolio development all sit in the fourth.
The ordering matters for anyone weighing a research-oriented degree against a shorter taught one. Applied coursework arrives before the thesis rather than after it, so methods are tested on organisational and professional material while supervision is still structured. For applicants deciding between an academic and an applied route, the structure removes some of the pressure to choose early. The award is a Master of Science, taught in English, full-time and on campus. Applications close on 1 April 2026.
