Computer Education and Instructional Technology

About

The Computer Education and Instructional Technology (CEIT) undergraduate program at METU is designed to train future teachers and educational technologists capable of integrating information technology into teaching and learning. The curriculum combines courses in computer science, instructional design, educational theory, and practical teaching methods — enabling students to acquire technological, pedagogical and methodological competencies. Graduates learn to design instructional materials, develop educational software, apply multimedia and IT-based methods in education, and manage digital learning environments.

Located in Ankara, this program offers English-medium (or English-compatible) instruction and access to modern computer labs and educational technology infrastructure. With a blend of theoretical knowledge, programming and instructional skills, the program prepares students for careers as computer/IT teachers in K-12 schools, instructional designers, educational technologists, or further graduate studies in education and technology.
