European Political Communication

About

The European Political Communication (English) program at Marmara University offers graduate-level education for students interested in politics, media, communication and European affairs. This programme explores how communication, media, public opinion, and political institutions work together in Europe; how political messages are shaped; and how social and cultural changes influence communication in democratic societies. Students learn about political communication theory, media studies, European political systems, social research methods, and EU policies. Through courses, seminars and research projects, students develop skills to analyse media, understand public discourse, and study political communication in European and global contexts.

Located in Istanbul — a city bridging continents and cultures — the program provides an international environment and access to diverse perspectives. With experienced instructors, up-to-date curriculum, and English-medium instruction, students are prepared to study or work in media, research, diplomacy or international organisations. The programme suits those who want to combine politics, communication and Europe-focused studies — and develop a strong understanding of how societies communicate and shape political meaning.
