

The Master of Arts in Gender Studies at Utrecht University is a one-year, full-time on-campus program that focuses on the study of gender, sexuality, and their intersections with culture, society, and politics. The program critically examines how gender and sexuality influence identity, power dynamics, and social structures, exploring topics such as feminism, LGBTQ+ rights, and global gender issues.

Graduates of the Gender Studies Master’s program can work in social policy, advocacy, and gender research. With expertise in gender theory, feminist studies, and social justice, graduates are prepared for roles as policy advisors, gender equality consultants, or social researchers. This program provides opportunities in NGOs, governmental organizations, and academic institutions focused on gender equity and social justice issues.
