Applicants here choose an international legal specialism at the point of entering university, not after a general law degree. Teaching starts with cross-border material — public international law, human rights, EU law, comparative legal systems — instead of spending the first years inside a single national legal order. That works for someone who already knows they want the international orientation. It works less well for anyone whose plan is to qualify and practise within one domestic jurisdiction, where a national law degree is the more direct route.
The programme leads to a Bachelor of Laws over three years of full-time study, with teaching in English throughout. Each year narrows the focus: legal method and human rights first, then trade and environmental law, then conflict resolution, humanitarian law and legal ethics, closing with an independent research project. All three years run on campus in Tilburg.

The Bachelor of Laws in Global Law is a three-year, full-time, on-campus program that provides a comprehensive foundation in international and transnational legal systems.
