About

The Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at METU is a comprehensive undergraduate program designed to teach students the fundamental principles and advanced skills of mechanical systems, energy, materials and design. The curriculum includes mathematics, physics and core engineering fundamentals, and specialized courses in mechanics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat and mass transfer, materials science, dynamics, control systems, machine design, manufacturing technologies, and energy systems. Through laboratory work, design projects and practical training, students gain both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience, enabling them to analyze, design, build and maintain mechanical systems and machines.

Located in Ankara within a strong engineering faculty, the program takes advantage of METU’s academic infrastructure, workshops and labs to provide practical and research-oriented education. With a focus on multidisciplinary engineering, innovation, energy and manufacturing technologies, this program prepares graduates for roles in mechanical system design, manufacturing, energy, automotive, aerospace, research, R&D or further graduate studies in mechanical engineering and related fields.
