

The Master of Science in Migration, Ethnic Relations, and Multiculturalism at Utrecht University is a two-year, full-time on-campus program that explores the social, political, and cultural aspects of migration and ethnic diversity. The program focuses on understanding migration trends, ethnic relations, and the challenges and opportunities of multicultural societies in both historical and contemporary contexts.
Students will gain interdisciplinary knowledge in migration studies, sociology, and cultural relations, while developing critical research and analytical skills to address issues such as integration, identity, and social justice. Graduates will be well-prepared for careers in social policy, research, NGOs, or international organizations, with the expertise to contribute to inclusive policies and multicultural integration in diverse societies.

Graduates of the Migration, Ethnic Relations and Multiculturalism Master’s program can work in immigration policy, community development, and social research.
