

The Master of Science in Youth Development and Social Change at Utrecht University is a one-year, full-time on-campus program that focuses on the social, psychological, and educational aspects of youth development in the context of societal changes. The program explores how young people navigate challenges such as social inequality, education systems, and cultural shifts, and how they contribute to social transformation.

Graduates of the Youth Development and Social Change Master’s program can work in youth advocacy, social work, and community development. With expertise in youth issues, education, and social transformation, graduates can pursue careers as youth development specialists, social workers, or community organizers. This program offers opportunities in NGOs, social service agencies, and community-based organizations focusing on youth empowerment and social change.
The Youth Development and Social Change Master’s program equips students with the skills to work with young people facing social, economic, and educational challenges.
