

Akdeniz University was established in 1982 to serve the educational and scientific needs of Turkey’s western Mediterranean region, uniting earlier higher-education institutions in Antalya and nearby provinces. It began with a mission to transform knowledge into technology, support regional development and contribute to national progress through academia.
