History & Foundation

Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (Hochschule für Angewandte Wissenschaften Hamburg) was established in 1970 as Fachhochschule Hamburg and welcomed its first students the same year. The university was created to provide a practice-oriented education integrating academic knowledge with real-world applications.
