

Sakarya University traces its origins back to the engineering and architecture school established in 1970 in the Sakarya region. Over the years, the institution transformed through restructuring and expansion to meet the educational and scientific needs of the area.
In 1992, the institution officially gained university status and subsequently added numerous faculties, institutes, research centres and vocational units.
