Chemical Engineering

About

The Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering (English track) at İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesi is a program that trains students to use chemistry, mathematics, physics and engineering together to solve industrial, technological and environmental problems. In this program, students learn core topics such as thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat and mass transfer, reaction engineering, process design, separation processes, materials science and process control. They also develop skills in problem-solving, modelling, quantitative analysis, safety and environmental awareness. The curriculum balances theory with laboratory work and project-based courses. This gives students a strong foundation to design and operate chemical processes and production systems.

At ITU, Chemical Engineering is internationally accredited and part of a long academic tradition — students benefit from experienced faculty, modern labs and a broad curriculum covering many engineering fields. The English-taught courses (some portion in English) help prepare for global engineering careers or international collaborations. Graduates are ready to work in many sectors including chemical industry, energy, environment, materials, production and R&D. If you enjoy chemistry, mathematics, engineering and want to create or improve processes that produce useful materials and energy — this program gives you a solid and versatile foundation.
