The Master of Science in Eco-Epidemiology of Emerging Diseases IDIL is a two-year, full-time, on-campus program that focuses on understanding the ecological factors influencing the emergence and spread of infectious diseases. The program combines epidemiology, ecology, and environmental science to provide students with the skills to analyze the interplay between ecosystems, human health, and emerging diseases. Students will explore topics such as disease dynamics, zoonotic diseases, and the impact of environmental changes on public health.
Graduates will be well-prepared for careers in public health research, epidemiology, and disease control. The program equips students with the tools needed to track, prevent, and manage emerging infectious diseases in both human and animal populations. Montpellier University offers advanced research opportunities, allowing students to contribute to critical studies that shape global health policies and disease prevention strategies.
Semester 1 - Foundations in Eco-Epidemiology and Emerging Diseases
Semester 2 - Advanced Eco-Epidemiology Studies
Semester 3 - Specialization & Applied Research
Semester 4 - Master’s Thesis & Final Project
Graduates of the Eco-Epidemiology of Emerging Diseases IDIL program are well-prepared for careers in public health, epidemiology, and disease prevention. They can work as epidemiologists, public health researchers, disease control specialists, and environmental health consultants.
