Economics and Finance

About

The Economics and Finance (English) master’s program at Marmara University is a two-year graduate degree taught fully in English. This program combines advanced economic theory with modern financial analysis — teaching students how to understand global economies, financial markets, investment, banking, risk management and economic policy. Students learn both micro- and macroeconomics, econometrics, financial markets, corporate finance, international finance, and monetary economics. Through courses, seminars and research work, students develop strong analytical and practical skills to evaluate economic data, make financial decisions, analyse markets, and contribute to economic and financial planning.

Located in Istanbul — a key financial and commercial centre — the program offers a rich environment with exposure to diverse markets, international business, banking and finance institutions. The English-medium instruction allows students to access global economic literature and prepares them for international careers. The program is ideal for those who want to work in banking, finance, investment, research, economic policy, or international financial institutions — combining economics and finance in one comprehensive degree.
