Founded in 1982 in Witten, Germany, University of Witten/Herdecke is Germany’s first private university dedicated to integrated health sciences, medicine, and social sciences. Guided by its motto “Knowledge for Humanity,” the university combines academic excellence with a strong commitment to innovation, ethics, and interdisciplinary research.

With five faculties, a wide range of undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs, the university focuses on medicine, health sciences, psychology, philosophy, and management, while also offering unique programs in integrative and anthroposophical medicine.
