History & Foundation

Demiroğlu Science University was founded in 2006 by the Turkish Cardiology Foundation. Affiliated with the Group Florence Nightingale Hospitals, which has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare, the university builds on 15 years of knowledge and experience to aspire to be a leading institution in Health Sciences.

Education & Research

Demiroğlu Science University provides education and training in Health Sciences with a student-oriented, hybrid educational model. It emphasises rational thinking, tradition, and service by providing lifelong education and health services without compromising academic and ethical values.

Students participate in applied classes and gain practical experience in the laboratories, simulation centres, through internships and advanced clinical practice facilities within the Group Florence Nightingale Hospitals.

The university has various research and application centres, including the Diabetes Application and Research Centre, the Continuous Learning Centre, the Cell and Cancer Studies Centre, and the In Vivo Laboratory.

All of the research centres and laboratories are equipped with state-of-the-art technology, enabling cutting-edge scientific research in diverse subfields of Health Sciences. Additionally, in the In Vivo Laboratory, experimental animals such as rats, mice, rabbits and guinea pigs are produced and cared for. Research on experimental animals mainly focuses on neuroscience, testing for potential therapies for diseases and conditions like depression, epilepsy, Alzheimer’s, and Parkinson’s. In the laboratory, at least five scientific studies are conducted monthly.
