Istanbul Bilgi University is a foundation university established in 1996. The university, which educates more than 10,000 students at its three main campuses in Istanbul, is governed by the principles of academic freedom, critical thinking, and transparency. Bilgi University offers more than 150 undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programmes in six faculties. The university, which has a strong and comprehensive academic staff, aims to widen the horizons of its students through student clubs, cultural activities and international connections. The percentage of international students in the university is 14%.
