Founded in 2018 in Istanbul, İstanbul University-Cerrahpaşa is a public research university formed through the reorganisation of Istanbul University. History & Foundation
İstanbul University-Cerrahpaşa was established in 2018 following the separation of certain faculties and campuses from İstanbul University in order to create a new institution that would enhance administrative efficiency and expand academic capacity.
Since its formal establishment, the university has expanded significantly by adding new faculties, research centres and campuses across Istanbul. It now stands as a prominent public university in Turkey, recognised for its high calibre health-related programmes, engineering offerings, and multidisciplinary research environment.
