History & Foundation
The university, established in May 2012, is financially supported by the Nişantaşı Education and Culture Foundation. Its first undergraduate students were admitted in the 2013–2014 academic year.
In 2017, the university relocated to the new NeoTech Campus in Sarıyer, Istanbul, a major investment designed to keep pace with the latest technological developments and innovations. Since its establishment, Nişantaşı University has built strong partnerships with corporate and business institutions, becoming one of the fastest-growing foundation universities in Istanbul.
Education & Research
Nişantaşı University aims to educate students who can think analytically and critically, adapt to the digitalised and globalised world, and embrace the philosophy of being lifelong learners. The university places great emphasis on technology, development, and entrepreneurship, prioritising innovative business models that can be transferred to digital platforms. It also provides psychological and disability support and has an active student council.
The university has six faculties, including Medicine, Dentistry, Engineering and Architecture, Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences, Art and Design, and Health Sciences. In addition, it offers a wide range of vocational schools, such as Civil Aviation, Physical Education and Sports, and Health Sciences.
Nişantaşı University hosts six research centres, including Oral and Dental Health, Finance, Economics and Policy, Women and Family Studies, Turkish Teaching, Distance Learning, Production Management, and Continuous Learning. The Continuous Learning Application and Research Centre provides certificate programs and specialised courses delivered by expert trainers and industry professionals. These courses—offered in collaboration with internationally recognised organisations—cover diverse areas ranging from artificial intelligence and machine learning to supply chain security and fashion design.
Student Life & Global Opportunities
Nişantaşı University operates a Career Counselling Centre that helps students find internship opportunities and provides professional support to prepare them for their careers. The centre organises ‘Career Days’ events, internships, and recruitment interviews throughout the year, giving students the chance to meet with industry representatives.
In addition, the centre offers CV consultation and interview preparation to strengthen students’ employability. Its practices and services are continuously updated in line with technological developments and labour market needs, ensuring that Nişantaşı University graduates are ready to thrive in the professions of the future.
