Established in 1996, Yeditepe University is one of the largest private universities in Turkey, offering over 65 undergraduate programs across 13 faculties.

Its main campus, located in Kayışdağı on the Asian side of Istanbul, covers 220,000 m² of indoor space and 125,000 m² of open areas.

The official language of instruction is English, though the university also offers programs in Russian, French, and German. Currently, 6% of its students are international, reflecting the university’s global outlook.

History & Foundation

Yeditepe University was established in 1996 by the Istanbul Education and Culture Foundation and has educated more than 50,000 students in 30 years. It is financially independent from the Turkish Government Treasury Department and receives no income from the state.

Its primary campus, called “26 August”, opened its doors to students in the 2000–2001 academic year. The campus is located on 125,000 m² of land at the foothills of the Kayış Mountain. Yeditepe is also an environmentally friendly university, operating a sustainable campus powered by solar energy through panels installed on its rooftops.

Education & Research

Yeditepe University has 13 faculties, offering 69 undergraduate, 100 graduate, and 44 doctoral programs. With over 1,000 experienced academicians, the university continuously updates its curricula to keep pace with global developments.

Its mission is to be an innovative institution that meets the needs of society and transforms research into production, while raising creative, self-confident, and entrepreneurial lifelong learners.
